BX-02 6 foot door DS rebuild box car

Between 1924 and 1928 the CPR rebuilt 6 foot DS car number series 199347-199999 with steel center sill, Murphy steel roof and, 6/7 Murphy steel ends. Some cars found themselves in Lime service and OCS. Some cars ended up on the Northern Alberta Railways, e.g., NAR 17092 (ex-CPR 199801)

The 199000 series had a surprisingly long life with the last revenue cars delisted in 1962. Many were reassigned to non-revenue service in the 400000 series and operated for many years.

The kit includes one piece body, underframe, details, metal ladders, steps, brake bits and decals. You provide wire, trucks and couplers.
